I emailed the U.T. astronomy department.  The comet IS a comet!  I emailed them asking if it was a comet or shrapnel.  They replied saying it was a comet and NOT shrapnel!!!  WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
