Went to doctor for a checkup today. Apparently, to be a vet tech student, I need shots for Hepatitis, Rabies, and all that. The statement was, “You will get bitten, so get the shots and don’t worry about it.” Wheee! So I know I will get bitten, and possibly broken bones. Meh. I like animals.
We got my snake a log/stick to climb on. His reaction as funny! For a little over a day, all he would do would be to sit in a corner and sulk. He would stare at it, nonstop. I bet he thought it was another snake. After a few hours, he lay his head on it like checking for a heartbeat. It was funny to watch him. Now, he curls up at the top and sleeps.
I started riding horses again for the summer. So far, so good! I am riding the same horse I did last year. Her name is Sky. She will take whatever mood you throw at you and throw it right back times 10. Very fun horse to ride! I hope to do well in the show this year if I participate.

We went to the beach last week. Had a great time! I swam in the ocean and in a pool. I got sunburned, and cut my foot on a shell. I played at an arcade and ate ice cream. We all played minigolf. I went out probably farther than was smart into the surf. I jumped over waves-waited until a wave came up, then jumped keeping the water’s surface at the same place on my body the whole way through the wave. I faceplanted into a wave when I slipped on the sand while doing that. We found lots of crabs. We went for a night walk on the beach and I fell into a 4 foot deep hole that a family had dug…the waves had filled it with a not-packed-at-all sand. I got some T-shirts as well. I loved it!
My uncles got me DND version 4. I love it! The rules are very different, though.
Spells:
Spells are no longer the vancian spell system. You can still memorize them, but its different. Some spells can be used once a day if you memorize it, some once per fight if you memorize it, and otehrs at will memorized or not, but at 80% power if not memorized.
Fighters:
There is a solid difference between sword, mace, and axe fighters…they have different abilities available.
Wizards:
No more fireball spell 
New races…Dragonborn and Tiefling, and no more gnomes.
There are fewer “save or die” spells.
Dragons are a LOT tougher.
You can do more with your turn.
Bards, barbarians, and monks are gone.
Warlock class!!!
New rules for disenchanting and enchanting magic items.

I’m spending next week at a beach house by Ocean Island. It’s on the border between the Carolinas. The beach house is right by the waterfront, so on good days we can go swimming. I think it will be a LOT of fun! Going swimming at the beach, woohoo!
I got a pet snake. Having trouble naming him, however…anyone have ideas? I got him several weeks ago, and still no name. Open to ideas! Help!!!
I have a pet Ball Python that Mom and Dad gave me as a graduation gift. I love it very much! I like to let him sit on my shoulder or neck while i play compute, and he seems content to do that as well. I also find it strangely amusing ot watch him drink. We feed him on Sundays, and he eats small mice. I love the way it feels when he crawls along my arm. I LOVE MY SNAKE!!!!! Although, I do need to name him.
I got a new laptop computer, and am posting from it now. I would have done this when I first got it, but I have been a bit busy. The laptop is great. It has an integrated webcam, speakers, and microphone. It has wireless, and this is great, because I can watch YouTube or play games at McDonalds, home, grandparents, or anywhere that has wireless access. The laptop has more hard drive and RAM then my desktop PC. In fact, the only thing the PC has better is the video card. I love my new laptop!!!
